Declaration on accessibility
The Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration endeavors to make the website www.wsv.de and all associated subsites accessible without barriers. The legal bases are the Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (BGG) und die Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV) in their currently valid versions. These are based on EU Directive 2016/2102.
The development and design of this website are focused on user-friendliness and accessibility. This website was subjected to a BITV 2.0 self-test. According to our own assessment, this website is largely compatible with the specifications of the harmonized European standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (08-2018).

We are currently in the process of setting up a process for creating accessible or low-barrier PDF documents. Newly created PDF documents will be barrier-free. This process will take some time. However, no general subsequent reworking of older PDF documents is planned. If so, you can submit an application to initiate conciliation proceedings under the Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (BGG). You can find this application at www.schlichtungsstelle-bgg.de.
The Schlichtungsstelle („conciliation board“) pursuant to section 16 BGG has the task of settling disputes between people with disabilities and federal public bodies extrajudicially, in particular on the subject of accessibility. The conciliation procedure is free of charge. No legal counsel needs to be involved.
