We would like to inform about the lock availability in Brunsbüttel and Kiel. Due to construction works or unplanned incidents, temporary closures or obstructions may unfortunately occur.

In this regard, we would like to point out a momentary peculiarity in Kiel-Holtenau:

Currently, pleasure crafts and commercial vessels are directed together through the great lock, as the small locks are permanently closed. For safety reasons, pleasure crafts are usually only allowed to enter the lock chamber (a white interrupted light) behind the commercial vessels. Please be increased cautious while using The Kiel-Holtenau locks.
